Impossible to forget our first date...
We went to dinner at an Asian restaurant called Zinda in Raleigh, NC.
I spent hours choosing my outfit…and after 2 solid hours of thinking, I went with a pair of jeans, a shirt, and a pair of sneakers (Really!!??).
He picked me up and I was all giggly and talkative… He didn’t say much… (OMG, Andrea, be quiet! Don’t talk that much… he’s not talking that much. Maybe he doesn’t like the fact that you are talking this much... I thought to myself) But I kept on talking…
I don’t really remember how the restaurant looked. I was just focused on us.
While we were waiting for our food, we talked and got to know each other better.
Zach was special! I noticed the way he looked at me with those deep green eyes. He looked at me like I was magic!
He didn’t say much, but everything he said was meaningful and real.
This was the most special date I have been in my life! And at this point I just wanted to enjoy every second of it, even if it meant risking it all and not seeing him again! I decided to be my true self and show my true personality: I was using my hands to talk (as I usually do), I was not sure if he understood a word I said because of my accent. “I am EEEstarving” I kept saying, and he laughed :)
The 2 orders of green curry and the 2 margaritas arrived to the table. Dinner was delicious, but the company was even better! I wish we could have eaten it slower so we could have stayed longer, but we both don’t mess around when it comes to food… We pretty much devoured that!
When I arrived home, I immediately texted my mom:
I literally waited for him to text me that night “Please text, please text!” I kept talking to my phone… And there it was!!!
I did a happy dance and went to sleep!
